Data sources

Product cards combine what is printed on the label with public reference data. Here is where each part comes from.

• Ingredient list, dates and label text: read from photos of the label taken by users, as printed.
• Korean ingredient names: Korean Ministry of Food and Drug Safety, Cosmetic Ingredient Information (public data portal, free to use).
• INCI names and ingredient functions: European Commission CosIng database and the common glossary of ingredient names, Commission Decision (EU) 2022/677. Reused with acknowledgement under Decision 2011/833/EU.
• Product descriptions: written once per language by an AI model from the facts above only (label text and ingredient data). They do not promise results.
